I captured this short peaceful moment because the view was so tranquil. The light, the sea air and the open space are the kind of quiet details that often inspire my artwork.

For me, painting is not about copying a view exactly. It is about noticing how a place feels, then allowing that feeling to shape colour, movement and atmosphere.

This is the feeling I often return to in my Cornish artwork: calm, space, light and connection.
