“Jeanni presented to all the OATS' staff on our annual day out in August. Normally, we do something interesting but this was extra special. I wanted to emphasize teamwork aspect of the business and at the same time raise people's awareness of what they could achieve.
Jeanni presented a range of topics about sensory perception which got us all thinking, not least about the selective ways in which different people can perceive the same object(s) differently. After being challenged intellectually, we then had everyone try to paint. I had selected an image of a Formula 1 pit stop as an example of teamwork. Each of us painted two or more little panels from the overall image. Only towards the end did some people realise that this was going to all come together a full image.
Each of us chose to interpret the instructions in our way. The net result was a terrific image. Not everything of course is perfect but the effect is tremendous. It demonstrates perfectly how a group of people with different attitudes and skill sets (some colour blind!) can produce an excellent result that none of us personally could have produced. We now have the final image hung on the wall going into our meeting room, as a daily reminder of what we can achieve if we work together.
It was a really worthwhile exercise and everyone has very positive memories of the day. I would recommend it.”
