A Huge Thank You from Mawgan Porth
Just home after a long, busy, beautiful day by the sea… so instead of writing a full post about everything that happened, I simply wanted to say a huge, heartfelt thank you.
This year marks 10 years of Art at the Beach in Mawgan Porth.
Over those years I have had the privilege of painting on the beach, teaching art lessons, creating commissions, selling original artwork, running Zoom lessons, developing online courses, and working with teams and organisations through Visual Awareness workshops and team-building events.
Whether you have stopped to chat while I was painting… had a lesson with me on the beach, online or via Zoom… bought a painting, print or commission… attended a workshop or team-building event… recommended me to a friend… or simply followed the journey from afar… thank you.
Every conversation matters.
Every lesson matters.
Every painting that finds a home matters.
Art has a wonderful way of bringing people together. Sometimes people stop because they love Mawgan Porth. Sometimes they stop because a painting reminds them of a special memory. Sometimes they arrive convinced they cannot draw or paint and leave seeing the world in a completely different way.
Those moments never get old.
Mawgan Porth is beautiful because of its sea, cliffs, changing light and endless inspiration, but it is the people I meet that make every day special.
Through Art at the Beach, Visual Awareness, face-to-face lessons, Zoom sessions, online learning, commissions, exhibitions and team-building events, I have been fortunate enough to meet some truly wonderful people from all walks of life.
So tonight, tired but very grateful, I simply wanted to say thank you.
You are all part of the story of Art at the Beach, and I never take that for granted.
Thank you for an incredible 10 years.
