Last weekend, I was on Mawgan Porth Beach, eagerly setting up for an art lesson despite the dull and overcast weather.

Even under grey skies, the Cornish coast's beauty never fails to inspire. My paints were spread out around me, and I had a few of my completed paintings on display, hoping to share my passion for art with others. As I prepared, a gentleman approached, captivated by one of my paintings. He was keen to buy it on the spot. We started talking, and I was struck by his genuine interest in my work and his warm, engaging manner.

After wrapping up my session, I agreed to deliver the painting to his hotel to ensure it was safely stored. Our conversation continued back at his hotel, covering a range of topics from art to environmental issues. It was then I discovered I was speaking with Paul Bledsoe, a renowned strategic advisor in climate change consultancy.

Paul has had a remarkable career, having served as Director of Communications for the White House Climate Change Task Force under President Clinton, and advising several notable figures including presidents and prime ministers on critical environmental policies.

Paul's work has been instrumental in shaping key climate agreements, such as the Paris Agreement and the Kigali Amendment. His insights into the challenges of climate change and his dedication to promoting sustainable practices globally are truly inspiring.
