Another Fantastic Lesson at Mawgan Porth

Today reminded me once again why I love teaching.

I had the pleasure of spending time with an amazing young man who embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, curiosity and determination. Watching someone begin to understand the fundamentals of art is always a privilege.

My lessons are never about teaching people to copy what I do. Instead, they are about helping students understand why things look the way they do. Once you understand observation, perspective, light, colour and technique, you gain the confidence to create artwork in your own unique style.

One of the most rewarding moments in any lesson is seeing the spark when everything suddenly clicks into place. You can almost see confidence growing with every brushstroke and every new discovery.

It doesn't matter whether someone has never picked up a paintbrush before or already has years of experience. We all continue learning, and every lesson is another opportunity to see the world a little differently.

Thank you for such an enjoyable lesson today. You worked incredibly hard and should be very proud of everything you achieved.
