Fantastic Family Art Lesson in Mawgan Porth
Some lessons are memorable because of the paintings that are created. Others are memorable because of the people.
Today was one of those wonderful days that had everything… laughter, smiles, enthusiasm and a lovely family who threw themselves into learning something new.
One of the greatest joys of teaching is working with people of all ages and abilities. It doesn't matter whether someone has never painted before or already has experience. Once people begin to understand the fundamentals of art, their confidence grows remarkably quickly, and every person develops their own unique style.
Helen and her family embraced the whole experience, creating beautiful paintings while sharing plenty of laughs along the way. The atmosphere was relaxed, encouraging and full of positivity, exactly the sort of environment where people discover what they're truly capable of.
My aim has always been to teach people how to understand what they are seeing rather than simply copying someone else's work. When observation and knowledge come together, wonderful things begin to happen.
