Good Morning Britain footage… filmed on Mawgan Porth Beach.

Yesterday was such a lovely privilege… being filmed on Mawgan Porth Beach for Good Morning Britain on ITV and sharing a little glimpse of what I do.

For many people, what they see first is the beach, the painting, the television cameras and the moment itself… but what matters most to me is what sits underneath it all.

I teach the grammar, spelling and punctuation of art.

My approach is about understanding rather than copying… helping people of all ages and abilities learn how to see properly, build confidence, and create with genuine knowledge.

We begin with Sketch and the psychology of how we see… move into Perspective and the maths of art… then into Paint, where everything comes together and people begin to realise what they are truly capable of.

I’ve been teaching and painting on Mawgan Porth Beach for the past 10 years, and teaching in Cornwall for around 20. Before that, I spent 25 years teaching art in private and state schools in Britain and Australia.

Over the years I’ve had the joy of teaching individuals, families, children, adults, small groups, schools, companies and team events… always with the same aim… to help people see the world, and themselves, differently.

As well as lessons here in Cornwall, I also teach on Zoom and through my online course… and I create original paintings and commissions inspired by Cornwall and beyond.
