Some Favours Mean More Than Others… ❤️
Some paintings become far more than paint on a canvas… sometimes they're made up of moments, memories, and little bits of life that mean everything.
Many of you know the lovely Jim and Joyce… affectionately known by one of my followers as the "Bonnie and Clyde of Mawgan Porth." 😊
Around a year ago, after stopping for a chat while I was teaching and painting on the beach, I gave them one of my paintings of Mawgan Porth. Over the years we've shared many conversations, and like so many wonderful locals, they've always been incredibly kind, friendly and supportive.
Sadly, since then, their beloved dog, Millie, passed away.
Yesterday they returned with that same painting and asked if I could paint Millie into it, so she could become part of that special memory forever.
How could I possibly say no?

Sometimes it's about bringing all those little bits together… preserving a memory, celebrating a life and keeping someone close.
As an artist in Mawgan Porth, moments like these remind me that art isn't simply about creating beautiful pictures. It can preserve memories, celebrate loved ones and tell stories that become even more meaningful with time.
