It’s such a joy to watch this lovely student bringing together everything from my Secret of Art Masterclass – sketch, perspective and paint – and turning it into something so atmospheric. Yesterday at Mawgan Porth she chose watercolour, and her final piece carries such a gentle, ethereal quality while standing firmly on the fundamentals.

She has explored every way of learning with me – the pre-recorded online course, face-to-face sessions, and live lessons via Zoom – each in focused three-hour lessons. It’s good to know you can move between them depending on what suits your location or rhythm, and watching how seamlessly the knowledge transfers is one of the best parts of teaching. Her smile says it all.
