Stream Dreaming – Gannel, Newquay captures the calm meeting point of sand, stream and sea, where the Gannel Estuary curves gently into the Atlantic. The soft sweep of shoreline and still water creates a sense of openness and quiet, inviting the viewer into a moment of pause within a familiar Cornish landscape.

Painted in acrylic on canvas, Annette Friend’s work is characterised by subtle colour transitions and a light, airy touch. The delicate balance of blues, sands and distant greens reflects the ever-changing nature of the estuary, evoking a peaceful, contemplative atmosphere shaped by tide, light and time.
