Front Line, Porthleven shows Porthleven harbour battered by the full force of an Atlantic weather front. Sea spray, darkened sky and churning waves evoke power and drama - a moment when nature takes the lead. Mike’s composition places you close enough to feel the wind and salt, yet just far enough to step back and admire the force of the coastline.

Mike often draws from Cornwall’s rugged edges. Here he marries tension and light, giving the viewer both respect for the elements and wonder at the beauty within them.
